1. We met DM Gorakhpur Ravi Kumar NG and discussed with him all the topics on which we are trying to work. Kindly find the report on the following link PLEASE CLICK
2. He appreciated and agreed to help us one by one.
3. We informed and updated him about the dispute of pokhra and banjar land. Court case proceedings details were also shared.  
4. He told us that he will form a committee who will make a report on the pokhra and banjar land dispute and will try to resolve the issue ASAP.
5. On our request he agreed to the digging of the badka pokhra images given below.
6. We met BDO and Gram Sevak alias Village Secretary alias Gram Vikas Adhikari along with the Gram Pradhan.
7. After meeting with Village Secretary it was decided that annual work schedule meeting will be done in an open meeting under which all the villagers will be called in and the meeting will happen on 19th of June 2012.
8. We gave the 4 pokhras on lease of 11 month in an open panchayat bidding process.
9. 3 pokhras were given to Arjun the highest bidder of that 3 lot and 1 pokhra was given to Nakul who was the highest bidder for that.
10. It was discussed that whoever will go for the village common fund collection will be given 10% of the total amount collected as his stipend.
11. The proposal of electricity bill amount collection was also cleared. Now onwards whoever will go for the village fund collection will be collecting the electricity bill as well.
12. Vipin Shukla(village pandit) has volunteered for this collection along with a companion of his choice.
13. Sonayeecha rural development society formation was also cleared along with the nomination of the governing body members.
14. We met GM Poorvanchal vidhyut vitran nigam ltd and discussed the issue of poles and 3 phase electricity on the poles. He informed us that he had already cleared this proposal long back and will get it done ASAP. 

This pond is spread in an area of 2 acre. Have never heard of this pond being dried up ever but, June 2012 its completely dried up. We have requested DM Gorakhpur to get pond digged up deep so that water can remain for longer period.

चार गांव के लोगों की पंचायत

ACTIONS OF ROUND 4

ASTHAULLA - Gramsabha

1. We met the villagers of  four villages Sonayeecha(सोनईचा), Asthaulla(अस्थौला), Bela Bir bhan(बेलाबीर भान) and Madhiyaanw (मढ़ियांव) by going door to door of villagers.
2. Panchayat of 4 Village was called which collectively forms Asthaulla Gram Sabha with a total population of over 6000 people. 
3. It was the first of its kind panchayat ever happened in which people from all the four villages participated and discussed on various problem's of the gram sabha Asthaulla.
4. Few decisions were taken during the panchayat one of it was that, now onwards every month we will be having open panchayat on a fixed during the last panchayat.
5. Video volunteers work was discussed and interested people were asked to fill forms.
6. We met Basic Siksha Adhikari(BSA) and asked him to make a survey of the schools in the village.
7. BSA and his team surveyed 3 govt. schools in the Asthaulla gram sabha.
8. BSA took various action on the miss management in the schools.
9. He instructed the officials to take stern action against the officials responsible as well as warned them to perform else they can face administrative action. 

SONAYEECHA - Gaon

1. 63 KV transformer was approved and installed for the village replacing 25 KV transformer..
2. 3 phase electricity on the poles has been approved and will be installed soon.
3. Girls were assigned the task of demographic data collection.
4. Girls were given training on RTI.
5. RTI case studies were shown as well as shared with them.
6. Motivational video's were shown to them.
7. Video volunteers work was discussed and interested people were asked to fill forms.
8. 5 peoples filled the form for the training from video volunteers, which has been sent to the organisation. 
9. Villagers were asked to make collection for the village fund which was started during March.

सवाल था 5वीं कक्षा के छात्रों से - देश के चार बड़े महानगरों के नाम बताओ, कोई भी छात्र जवाब नहीं दे पाया।

इस विद्यालय के छात्रों को परीक्षा प्रश्न पत्र प्रिंट कर के दिया गया था, यह बात सर्वानन्द ने काफी तारीफ करते हुए बताया की बहुत ही अच्छी पहल है।

Sonayeecha 3rd Round from 13th - 14th March 2012

Over 600 people were present for the panchayat 

Things happened in Round 3 Sonayeecha

1) Met DM Gorakhpur and discussed our views...he assured us to make our village a Model Village
2) He assured us to give full support in taking things forward.
3) He asked SDM Bansgaon to visit our village along with his team and do the needful.
4) Over 600 people attended the panchayat on 13th March. It included women, men, girls, boys, students, and elders. Almost whole village and the officials as well as nearby village villagers where also present.
5) Discussion on economic activities involving women and there problems were discussed.
6) SDM raised almost all the points which we had discussed with him and given him the print outs listing our problems.

 7) We did road cleaning with the help of villagers.

Villagers were asked to give lecture on what they have understood from the leaflets of encephalitis given by DM Gorakhpur...one of the villager in action

8) Encephalitis posters and leaflets were distributed and few villagers gave lectures what they understood about the same.

9) We visited the primary and middle school and checked on the quality of education in both the schools. The experience was shattering. Negligence by teachers was one of the major concern other than many other factors. Who cares was the outcome which we felt. Many suggestions were given to the principal of both the school.

On asking why such a bad situation..we were told no student come regularly ..Though on checking the attendance register most of students were coming regularly. God knows what will be the future of these students!!!

I think school boundary wall must be made as its on the main road. Quite dangerous.

On asking what is the quality check process of the level of education this SLF was shown. Don't know  on what parameters are these reports filled in...Is there any cross checking system!!!

Though both the toilets as well as all the classrooms  were locked. It was opened when we asked them to open and show it to us. Situation of the toilets can be seen. there is no cleaning at all.

Wonder if they are ever used or not by those it is intended for!!!

There is no boundary wall in the school. Nearby school hardly 50 steps is a Pig farm, can be seen in the image below.

This school has a large area we can make this school into a inter college as well as a degree college . Need to check  this option with the concerned officials. Around 450 students study in class 6th, 7th and 8th class. There is another school nearby which will be checked in the month of May 2012

Quality of education was no different from the primary school discussed above.  Students where  interviewed randomly and same situation. There future is purely dark if the situation is same.
